The vendor has provided the following:

  • Ford Escort RS Turbo Mk3 (Series 1) registered 09 May 1986 Mileage 82571
  • MOT exempt as of May this year
  • Overview:
  • I have owned this car since 28 Feb 2004
  • This is a reluctant sale, due to the lack of time and limited usage, it is the right time to part company with this tidy, usable classic car
  • This vehicle has been dry stored in a garage throughout my ownership and the previous owners'
  • The vehicle is standard except for the stainless steel exhaust system, which is a Mongoose 3" with a round rolled-out tailpipe
  • Fitted with Laser-line 921T Thatcham Category 2 immobiliser (professionally fitted 11 April 2005)
  • Various paperwork supplied with the folder, which includes the original Ford RS Turbo Supplement, Servicing Schedule, Immobiliser manual, and fitment paperwork. Various MOT certificates and receipts.
  • Work completed during my ownership is as follows:
  • Upon purchase, the previous owner stated that the front of the car had been lightly restored. It was stated that the arches and sills would require some repairs, so the arch inners on both sides, the rear bumper was replaced, and all the side skirts had been repainted and refitted
  • Seat bolsters were looking tired, so they have been refoamed and tidied up
  • The sunroof frame was corroded, so it has been replaced with a Series 2 roof (I will supply the old roof should the new buyer want to change the glass over due to the tint being slightly different)
  • Driver/Passenger door window seals have been replaced, using East trim replacement seals
  • Central locking system, L/H front brake wear loom, and R/H side indicator repeater repaired due to a wiring issue
  • Boot lock replaced, seized, replaced (old one supplied with car, should it be required)
