Get ready for adrenaline-fuelled action at the Mathewsons Live 2026 Rally Stage, one of the highlights of this classic car show at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. Up to 90 rally cars and their drivers will take on a purpose-built tarmac stage, bringing live motorsport excitement to the heart of Yorkshire.
These are demonstrations, not timed races, the emphasis is on fun, showmanship and celebrating rally heritage. The weekend marks the 40th anniversary of the end of the iconic Group B era, so you can expect to see legendary machines such as the Peugeot 205 T16 and Audi Quattro S1 among the line-up.
The rally demonstrations run in 1.5-hour sessions each morning and afternoon on both days, so there are plenty of opportunities to see a rolling showcase of historic and modern rally cars in action.
Other highlight cars to watch out for include our own Fiat 131 Abarth, driven by Jack, along with Charlie’s latest rally machine, both new additions to the Mathewsons fleet and already proving themselves on rally stages across the UK.
Spectators will play a huge part in the action too. From the sidelines you will be able to vote for the Crowd Favourite, with the winner presented with an award at the end of each day. A guest judge will also crown the Best in Show, so there is more than just bragging rights up for grabs over the weekend.
This is truly a motorsport celebration at its finest. Bring the family and soak up the atmosphere, you might even meet some of the drivers after their runs. With no timing gear and no pressure, it is pure rally entertainment for lifelong enthusiasts and complete newcomers alike.
