The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be a 1938 Austin 8 Tourer. Please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • This car was transported from Australia, where it was owned by a surgeon
  • It was then purchased by my brother, who restored it and gifted it to my father in 1992 for his 65th birthday
  • It was stored in a dry garage and taken to the odd show
  • After 5 or 6 years, ill health prohibited my father from using it very much, and he passed away in 2011
  • As his brother, I took responsibility for it at that point
  • It continued to be stored in a dry garage
  • It was driven very occasionally just to keep it turning over
  • The paintwork has a few small chips
  • It's 6V, has a new hood of about 3 years, and 4 new tyres
  • There is one stud missing on a wheel
  • Would perhaps need a service or engine rebuild
  • I have now been diagnosed with terminal cancer, so the car needs to go
