1958 Austin Healey BN4 100/6
Fully restored over 2 years from last nut-and-bolt grit-blasted chassis (photo)
UK supplied to Car Mart London on 25th January 1958, then travelled to the USA and was imported to the UK by me in 2015
Full photo restoration over a few years that was finished during COVID
Longbridge spec car, engine painted Morris green (not usual steel dust grey); this was done a few months ago, as described in Healeysix.net.
Full engine rebuild, rebore (to about 2750cc)
12 port head, unleaded fast road Welch cam, 6 branch big bore stainless exhaust
Alloy radiator alternator
16" 725 spoke wire wheels
These upgrades downgraded it to 2nd place at Austin Healey Club national concours

UK car events show winner
Matching numbers
Repaint on all original panels
New chrome
New leather trim and carpets
New red tonneau, new black hood
White hardtop
Too many other new parts to list
Tool kit
Owner's handbook
Heritage certificate
I bought this from a hobby dealer in the USA
I have had 3 Healeys from him and have won the Austin Healey sprint and hillclimb championship in the 100/4 I bought from him
I have rebuilt 4 big Healeys after a lifetime in the motor trade and still have 3 of them
Drives just as it should
The fast road cam gives it a boost in mid revs, which is nice to experience

It wouldn't be a Mathewsons event without a live auction, would it? Mathewsons Live 2026 will feature a live classic car, motorbike and memorabilia auction on both days, hosted by the Mathewsons family from TV’s Bangers & Cash.
To view lots prior to the auction, please visit our Pickering showrooms on Saturday 15th, Monday 17th or Tuesday 18th August.
