1980 mk2 escort rally car to historic msa regs spec with historic racmsa logbook
1300 sport on V5c but fitted with 1600xflow engine (on RAC logbook) with Kent fr285 cam, dgav carb and bestek ignition system. 4 into 1 sports exhaust, coil over 2.8 front shocks, alloy in boot rally fuel tank with facet fuel pumps, twin battery 24v setup in boot with bespoke dash inc switches for fogs, fuel pumps etc
Rally spec seats, bases and harnesses, full roll cage, strengthen and turreted shell for modern spec but not used (as historic spec) big tunnel, quaiffe limited slip diff, 4 speed gearbox, rally pedal box with independent remote hydraulics, quick release bonnet, racmsa spec glass all round, quick release boot, genuine ford 4 spoke r/s wheels with race tyres.
In all, it’s all there, was built by a time served rally ace, but has been stood for a couple of years now and would benefit from recommissioning
Owner always said the paperwork is worth as much as the car!!!!
A popular car on the NW rally scene, unfortunately, due to bereavement, it will not see the track again in our family, so it needs a new home where it will be enjoyed and the legacy live on!
