Current V5 present. Paperwork includes an Owner's Handbook, a Haynes Owner's Workshop Manual, an Autobooks Owner's Workshop Manual, a wiring diagram, photographs of the vehicle, V11 tax reminders, MOT certificates, and invoices.

The vendor has provided the following:

• Saab 96 V4 with a verifiable mileage of 98,000 miles and a service and expenses file going back to the first owner, but with a gap between 2011 and 2018, when I understand the previous owner purchased it
• The car presents very well in its Gold colour and with its recovered front and rear seats. It doesn't pretend to be concourse, but runs and drives as well as any 54-year-old Saab and draws admiring glances everywhere
• It was obviously looked after very well by previous owners, according to the impressive file of invoices and MOT certificates that come with it. Also included with it are a box of spares and an indoor/outdoor cover, which is as new
• Mechanically, it runs really well, and while it won't win any traffic light sprints, it has a reasonable performance and keeps up with the general speed of traffic
• The column gear change does take a bit of getting used to, but as I owned one back in the late 70s and early 80s, I was prepared! It doesn't overheat - even in the recent heat-wave and, driven sensibly, will get over 30mpg
• When did you last see another one on the road?
• I am selling because at almost 82 I find it too difficult to work on it, and getting anything done professionally is a bit expensive
• I have had a lot of welding done to the car since I bought it by an excellent local car restorer, and nothing has been covered in underseal to hide any imperfections and serious rust
• There is an offside sill included with the car and three jacking points as well, which will need fitting at some time, but there really is no urgency
• I hope the old girl goes to a good home!
