The vendor has provided the following:

  • I purchased this vehicle approximately ten years ago, and during this period it has been stored in my heated garage. It has only been used rarely, for our two granddaughters' proms and special calendar events
  • The first of the two previous owners was the restorer of it. He purchased it in 1992 and spent eight years on the restoration. I knew him quite well and so was able to follow the work he carried out over this period. I am a motor vehicle mechanic with some fifty-five years' experience and have done previous restoration work on historic vehicles, hence my interest in this one
  • The following work was done during this period:
  • The body shell was blasted to bare metal, new floor sections fitted, new door skins and a full re-spray
  • The engine was overhauled with new cylinder liners and pistons and a rebuilt cylinder head
  • The g/box was overhauled and upgraded drive shafts fitted
  • The clutch was upgraded to a diaphragm clutch
  • All new wheel bearings, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, etc, were fitted
  • The interior was reupholstered in leather, and new carpets and headlining were fitted
  • New wiring loom and 12-volt conversion, and alternator fitted
  • I have recently fitted a new carburettor and fuel pump
  • The fuel gauge doesn’t work, but there is a new sender unit supplied in the boot
  • Lots of receipts available with the vehicle
