Top Step at Fairfield Merlin Stages

Sunday saw us tackle the Fairfield Merlin Stages at Pembrey Circuit. After visiting the venue twice previously in the F1000 Rally Club championship, Ian and I were both very familiar with the venue and just how slippery it can become with even the smallest of downpours.

SS1 and SS2 were victims of the mentioned downpour, a rather large reverse entry into a hairpin right at around 100mph was our warning to treat Pembrey with respect for the remainder of the wet stages!

 

SS3 and SS4 were the two stages that saw the showers go away, thankfully for the rest of the day, which meant we could really push the car to its limits on the drying line.

SS5 and SS6 were the two final stages that were taken with caution but still swiftly to come away with...
