Woodpecker Rally 2025.

Â
The
weekend saw us tackle the Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker Rally in Newtown, Wales for the Second round of the
Mini Rally Challenge Gravel Championship.
The Mini Event consisted of the four morning stages. Ss1 and Ss2 we were off to a good, cautious, very slippery start. Unfortunately we really struggled not being able to find any grip. We pushed on and tried to set a respectable time in each stage, which we did.
Â
Ss3 is where it went downhill for us, unfortunately breaking a front damper meaning we had to drive cautiously through Ss3 and Ss4 dropping us off the pace. We finished the morning 5th overall in the R53 Minis.
Â
Not quite the result we wanted but that's rallying.
Â
We had entered the full event, so after fitting a new damper in lunchtime service we were back out for the afternoon loop.
Â
We had a good run throught the remaining 4 stages playing with the car and gaining valuable seat time on which is only my 4th gravel event.
Â
Well Done to everyone that took part.
Â
Thanks to Dad again for driving us all over the country and servicing, actually got your overalls mucky this time

Â
And as always thanks to all involved in organising and running the event, can't be done without you!!
