This weekend sees some of the Junior crews head across to the NHMC Cadwell Stages Rally 2023 for the penultimate round of the F1000 Rally Club.

We are seeded car 101 so my co-driver Ian Bass and I will be the first car off the start line at 9am on Sunday.

With the Final round of the season being Anglesey Circuit / Trac Môn next weekend the plan of attack is to keep it shiny side up and come home with a solid and clean result to maintain my championship lead.

The next car on the road will be Jack Birch and Mike Jode in the Micra who will as usual be hot on my heels, Mackenzie Snowden will be on the pace too. Riley Chester is starting car 104 in another trusty Micra, followed by Josh Slaughter in a Peugeot 107.

Daniel Taylor will be back out as car 106 after having a break away from the championship. Looking forward to a catch-up with all @ Lotusbits Rally Team. Tom Marriot and Rob Brook will be hunting down Dan as car 107, Lewis Arnold and Jon Shepherd will be next on the road with Ross Cudmore, Liago Edwards, and Mattie Franklin who will be following up behind.

The weather is given to rain Saturday night and be cloudy and windy on Sunday, this may make my job as the first car round a little trickier than it needs to be! With our objective being a clean result and of course a finish, a sensible drive will be needed not just for us, but for all the Junior and Senior crews.

With the possibility of having 2 stages in the dark later on Sunday, the crews will have the spotlights on and ready for the cameras (well I will anyway!!)
Good Luck to all Competitors for a safe and clean event.

I think it safe to say we are all looking forward to the event.

We at Mathewsons Classic Cars just need to finish the auction first!!
