The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be an Austin A35 Delux, please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • This 1958 Austin A35 deluxe is in lovely condition. Over the last year alone more than £2,000 has been spent on parts . The car retains its original TRANSFERABLE ...WZ..valuable registration, original engine, and interior seats and upholstery and carpet
  • Only selling because I’ve acquired an A35 van to restore, so sadly, I need the space
  • Work carried out and new parts fitted as follows
  • New foam on front 2 seats with new seat belts and floor anchors
  • All new 4 front brake cylinders fitted, as well as new complete resleeved main master cylinder and a new rear cylinder fitted.new brake pipe kit fitted and new brake hoses.
  • New brake springs, new brake pipe kit, and new rear shoes and drums
  • New fuse box
  • New tyres
  • New tubes were required
  • Radiator re-cored, new cap, and all coolant hoses renewed, new water pump and bypass hose.
  • New antifreeze
  • New spark plugs, leads, oil filter, and oil
  • New gearbox oil
  • New spigot shaft seal
  • New front suspension bushes and steering arm links
  • Various new steering drag links
  • New rear propshaft bolts and rear axle refurbished with new gasket fitted to diff cover
  • 2 new king pins, 2 new front wishbones,2 new fulcrum pins, new rear shackles x 4 and 4 rubbers on rear springs replaced also
  • Gearbox dismantled and inspected – new parts fitted where required
  • New door seal rubbers inside and out.

ENGINE WORK as follows:

  • New standard-size piston rings
  • New oil pump
  • New standard-size bearings and thrusts
  • New timing chain
  • New rocker shaft
  • New cylinder head valve stem seals fitted, valves cleaned,
  • New gaskets were required, extra temperature and oil gauges, plus volt gauge fitted
  • New carb rebuild kit
  • New complete clutch kit
  • New engine and gearbox mounts/rubbers
  • New sump gasket
  • New gearbox tailshaft seal
  • New fuel pump and hoses from pump to engine
  • Fuel tank removed and fuel sender gasket renewed
  • Rear suspension leaf springs cleaned

Other details:

  • All 4 wheels have new wheel bearings and seal kits fitted
  • New interior gearstick gaiter
  • Brake rods have new clevis pins fitted
  • New battery clamp and cut off switch fitted.

TO SUMMARISE

I am sure I've not included everything that I bought and fitted last year as it took so much time and effort to get the car to this level.. I am only listing all the things that were done so the next owner doesn't replace things that are new already..I hope the new owner has many trouble free happy miles in the car.

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 27 August 2025 - Tuesday 2 September 2025. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
