Current V5 present. Paperwork includes two Owner's Handbooks, an Owner's Club Magazine, MOT certificates, an old tax disc, a British Motor Industry Heritage trust certificate, and invoices.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • TR7 DHC with Heritage Certificate
  • Registered as a Historic Vehicle with £0 Road Tax and MOT exempt, though it has a current MOT (expires 20/11/25) with no advisories
  • The previous owner purchased the car in 2018 following long-term storage since 1995. Before that, it had had some bodywork repairs and a full respray
  • I purchased the car, through Mathewsons, in 2021 as a non-runner
  • Since then, I have spent over £4k on mechanically recommissioning the car

This work includes (from front to back):

  • New viscous coupling for the fan
  • New water pump, rubber hoses, and stainless steel pipes for the cooling system
  • The engine was tuned on a rolling road with carburettors cleaned and balanced with new needles, and fuel pump pressure tested
  • Electronic ignition professionally fitted, including testing the advance mechanism on the distributor
  • New clutch and thrust bearing, and gearbox overhauled
  • New stainless steel middle and rear sections of the exhaust
  • New fuel tank and fuel sender unit
  • New rear fog lamps
  • The car now drives well and has no problem keeping up with modern-day traffic

Items still to do:

  • There is a very slight coolant leak coming from the olive joint connecting the stainless steel pipe to the inlet manifold. The nut is hard to access without removing the inlet manifold, which I have been reluctant to do, not wishing to disturb the carburettors
  • The heater is currently bypassed as it was leaking when I purchased the car. It will probably require a new heater matrix
