Paperwork includes some printed operational instructions, some printed history about the make and model of the vehicle, old tax discs, a buff log book, V11 tax reminders, MOT certificates, a Royle from Vintage to Classic to Amphibian, including the first High Speed Amphibious Vehicles by David A. C. Royle, and some invoices.

The vendor has provided the following;

  • This is a very rare 1939 2-litre OHV Triumph Dolomite Roadster
  • This car was restored at no expense in the 1990's by the eminent restorer David Royle of Darlington, and the car is featured in his book
  • The car has done very little mileage since its restoration, which reportedly cost over £75000
  • Only a small number of these cars are still in existence, and being the rare 6-cylinder version makes it even rarer
  • The car comes with a full documented history, written by its previous owner, and the car is currently owned by the past chairman of the pre 1940 Triumph Owners club
  • Was one of the last cars produced before Triumph went into receivership in 1940
  • Now for sale due to ill health

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 4 March 2026 - Tuesday 10 March 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
