Current V5 present. Paperwork includes DVLA correspondence regarding re-registering the vehicle in the UK, a Certificate of permanent export, a previous V5, and a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • Land Rover Series 3 88-inch Basic
  • The car starts and stops, but needs re-commissioning
  • Stored in the South of France for 14 years, but not registered there
  • Overall condition seems to be good, no serious problems with the chassis, but it will need new outriggers
  • Bulkhead appears sound
  • New electronic ignition, new fuel pump
  • Full Tilt is in good overall condition, but very faded
  • Engine replaced
  • A slick shift was installed to reduce the gear lever throw
  • Usual scars on the bodywork. Bought to restore, but no longer committed to the project
  • Heritage certificate
  • The car was flagged as permanently exported on 28/09/2011
  • It appears to have never been registered in France
  • I bought the car on 10/06/2022. It had been sitting in a garage in France, having had an engine swap. The owner apparently lost interest in the vehicle and agreed to sell
  • There were no documents handed over other than the V5 and a copy of a previous V5
  • I notified the DVLA that the car was to be re-imported to the UK, HM Customs and Excise confirmed import clearance checks were satisfied on 23/06/2022
  • On 07/07/2022, DVLA confirmed the registration had been authorised and reissued the original registration number GUU 447N
  • I obtained the Heritage Certificate on 23/06/2022 to confirm the car's original details
  • The car stayed in my garage awaiting a restoration that never started!
