Lot 488 - 1999 BMW Z3 - July Auction
The vendor of this 1999 BMW Z3 is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:
Here at Restoring Classics, we’ve added our name to the V5 on a good handful of 2 seater sports cars; a Boxster, an MGTF, and of course an MX5. But we’re always looking for the slightly forgotten heroes. When we saw a very clean, manual example of the often-overlooked Z3 crop up in April’s auction at Mathewsons, we knew we had found our next roadster to recommission.
The car was in very good shape when we bought it - so we set the team at Classic Car Lab in Otley the challenge of picking faults! They found enough to do for us to make an already good car, someone’s next great buy.
Work included:
The car comes with a clean MOT good until July 2026.
Something for the next buyer - we have recently learnt the driver’s door central locking mechanism is faulty, so it will not work with the fob.
PLEASE NOTE: We take great pride in restoring our cars, but they are classics; they will not be immaculate, and they will no doubt need ongoing maintenance and repair. We suggest you make your own checks first.
