The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be a 1967 Mercedes W113 250SL Pagoda, please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • Purchased by the current owner in July 1981 (2 former keepers)
  • When purchased, it had been painted metallic blue by a previous owner (original colour is duck egg blue)
  • The car is badged as a 280SL as it is fitted with a 280 engine – this was fitted before purchase in 1981
  • The engine was rebuilt shortly after the car came into the current owner’s possession
  • The work was carried out by Nicky Porter of Oakley Service Station (authorised MB Service Agent)
  • Mileage is 83600 – approximately 20,000 in the current owners’s ownership (only 3000 miles since 2002 – due to being part of his small collection) - this is genuine and documented through all MOT’s from 1985 (as a historic vehicle, it was not MOT’d from 2017, however it was tested 2023 with no advisories, so that the cherished plate could be removed)
  • The hood is in poor condition – the owner never bothered renewing it as he never took it out in the rain and thus never felt the need - it has been exposed to rain twice in his ownership (occasions coming back from car shows)
  • The hard top has never been on the car since he purchased it (until now)
