A unique example of the marque
To this end the car was extensively preserved in 2018. The body work maintains its patina, but underneath, the running gear and drive train have received attention.
The 1.7L O series engine was rebuilt with new old stock parts to recondition the cylinder head, sourced from an engineering firm local to the current owner, who routinely worked on these engines in the 1980s
The engine was resealed, the clutch was replaced and was installed along with a replacement alternator. Oil changes have been annual, regardless of mileage
Underneath the running gear has been powder-coated, along with the fuel tank, which also received a new sender/pump unit.
Ball joints, track rod ends, and bushes all replaced.
All 4 hydragas displacers were sent to the renowned specialists Ian and Dawn Kennedy for repair and re-gassing
Front brake callipers rebuilt and installed with new flexible hoses.
All 5 wheels were powder-coated and shod with brand-new tyres.
