The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be a 1936 RILEY LYNX. Please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • Originally a 1935 car, it was restored in the early 1970's by a previous owner using a 1936 narrow track 12/4 chassis (26F4005) and is taxed
  • MOT exempt and is in full working order
  • It has retained its pre-select gearbox
  • Recent works include a rebuilt aluminium rear seat base, a new hood, and the Rotax dynamo fully re-built by specialist Robson and Francis
  • Extensive ignition rewiring work by Automotive Creation of Middlesbrough
  • Replacement of the Hobson Teleguage with a modern equivalent
  • The coach's paintwork is showing its age, but is in reasonable condition
  • The car runs very well on its twin SU carburettors and maintains a steady 40 PSI oil pressure
  • Pre-select gearbox
  • Hood in excellent condition
  • Brakes - fully balanced
  • 5 very good condition tyres
  • No electrical faults following extensive dashboard re-wire

Welcome to our March Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 4 March 2026 - Tuesday 10 March 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
 
PLEASE NOTE: Please be aware that all lots are sold as seen and without any warranty implied or given. You must satisfy yourself as to a lot's description and condition before you decide to bid. We recommend that you inspect the lot in person during the general viewing days held prior to the auction or call us to arrange for an individual appointment.
