Information from the HPI company: I can confirm HPI used to offer a service where total loss CAT D & C vehicles could be inspected by a company called Autolign in which if the vehicle passed its inspection the HPI records would be updated from an Insurance Write Off (damage) interest to a Condition Inspected interest, this would show the vehicle did suffer a total loss but mean it has professionally been inspected and deemed as a road worthy repaired vehicle.
