The vendor has provided the following:
The vendor of this 1996 Vauxhall Corsa Premier is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:
Back in July 2025, something unthinkable happened. No, it wasn’t the reunion of Oasis after their 16-year split (though that did indeed happen), but the Restoring Classics team made a profit! And not just any profit, but one made on a car that we actually ‘did up’ ourselves. There may be some small untruths in that statement in that we attempted to do it all ourselves, but within the first 5 minutes, we snapped a spark plug and needed to go to an actual garage with good tools and, well, experience to fix our problem. But a profit is still a profit…and we were the ones responsible for its machine polish.
So we thought we’d try it again, but this time choose some younger (and more intelligent) members of the team to pick up the spanners. Their choice of car - a 1996 Vauxhall Corsa with fewer than 35k miles on the clock.
Alas, they set to work and diagnosed some faults which included a blowing exhaust, lack of oil, dirty coolant, and a locked radio. So work commenced:
The car was sent down the road to The Motorist, where it received a clean ticket of MOT goodness! It has been noted that the temperature gauge reads high, but the car still runs really well, so we believe this to be a faulty sensor. Please make your own checks.
PLEASE NOTE: We take great pride in restoring our vehicles, but they are classics; they will not be immaculate, and they will no doubt need ongoing maintenance and repair. We suggest you make your own checks first.
The highest bid at the end of the auction will be submitted to the vendor for their consideration.
