The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be an MG TC. Please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • 1946 MG TC (Original build date 27th November 1946)
  • Registered as a police car by the Cumberland County Constabulary, Penrith, on the 6th December 1946
  • Paperwork of such included, a picture of the car on patrol with its driver, PC Foggin, is featured in the book "MGs on patrol", and its driver, PC Foggin, is also featured in a book "Carlisle the war years" where he recalls memories of his wartime days; both books come with the car
  • The car has been restored over some years at a cost of many thousands of pounds, over £7000 in just parts receipts
  • Work included a reconditioned engine & gearbox, upgraded steering box, new interior, new tonneau, hood, and side screens, and a very rare interior heater, plus much more
  • Needs some paintwork, fettling, and then driving

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 27 August 2025 - Tuesday 2 September 2025.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
