The car is original, not a fibreglass replica, fitted with a 5.3 litre short black Chevrolet V8 engine with Holly carburation, uprated gearbox, and differential
The car originally raced in the USA under the open-top modified sports car class
After it was purchased and re-registered in the UK
The race fuel tank, roll bar, and other race equipment were removed before a full bare metal restoration was carried out over 3 years
The restoration included:
A new engineered aluminium dashboard and gauges
Purpose-made and manufactured stainless steel door plates and sill guards, as opposed to aluminium
New fuel tank
New clutch
New purpose-made stainless steel exhaust system
Rewiring with a new fuse board fitted
New Minilite wheels
Full professional re-paint from bare metal
Fully refurbished interior with 3-point linkage seat belts
Mileage before restoration: 42,000, has only done 58 miles since restoration due to the owner's ill health
