The vendor has provided the following:
1958 Ariel 650cc Export Sport
Very rare model, same spec as the American version named Cyclone
Approximately around 300 were produced and made famous in America by the all-time great Rock n Roll Star Buddy Holly, who bought a Cyclone in 1959
Fitted with the late Hunmaster engine with big bearing crank and high compression pistons for a little more performance, as were all these export models
The original engine, gearbox, and frame numbers are still present, verified by the Ariel Owners Club document dating certificate
The original English registration number was reclaimed after many years
Also present is a green card logbook and a current V5, both stating the model to be 'Export Sport.'
A cosmetic restoration was carried out some years ago, and also the magneto and dynamo were rebuilt by Tony Cooper, plus a new reg box fitted
