Current V5 present. Paperwork includes an Owner's Handbook, an Audio guide, previous V5s, MOT certificates, and invoices.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • 2002 MG ZT + 2.5 V6 190 bhp sports saloon in solar red
  • Just under 75k on the clock, MOT until August 2026
  • The vendor drove the car to the auction

An extensive amount of work was done by the previous owner, which is documented and will be passed along to the new buyer in the paperwork bundle. Including, but not limited to:

  • New rear sub-frame
  • New rear suspension upper and lower arms
  • Rear trailing arms re-bushed
  • Rear anti-roll bar replaced
  • Rear hubs replaced
  • New rear brake discs, callipers and backplates
  • New handbrake cable, shoes and adjusters
  • New fuel tank straps
  • New front suspension anti-roll bar drop links
  • New front and rear brake pipes
  • Complete new stainless-steel exhaust
  • Replace the belts, water pump, idler and tension pulley (at 70k)
  • VIS motors \ swirl flaps replaced
  • Oil \ filter change (at 70k)
  • All 4 alloy wheels refurbished
  • New continental sport contact tyres (at 70k)
  • I had the car recently MOT's where it required a new ABS sensor and the sills welding. This was done at a Rover\MG specialist for the cost of £500 in August
  • The car has also just had a brand new Yuasa battery fitted.

The bad bits:

  • The paintwork has seen better days; there is no rust on the body. However, there are some scratches, scrapes and lacquer peel
  • There is some surface corrosion on the front subframe. It did pass the MOT, and it's structurally sound
  • There is a small tear in the side base bolster on the driver’s seat. I do have a new seat cover I will include with the sale, but I'm not sure how to go about fitting it. I will also throw in a tin of solar red paint for some touch-ups
  • The roof lining has just started to sag
  • The air conditioning has a leak somewhere. I had it re-gassed; it all works perfectly for around a month or so, and then it fades off, so it's not a massive leak, but I don't know where it's escaping from. There are no smells of refrigerant in the car at all
  • Whilst they passed the MOT without an advisory, having been underneath the car, I would suggest it would benefit from new front discs and pads at its next service \ MOT
  • The car does come with 2 keys, and the central locking \ alarm works, but not on the remote button, needs to be opened with the key
  • The car comes with electric windows all round, all of which work as they should. A 6-stack CD player, which also works as it should. The dashboard all works, all the correct lights etc, no warning lights are being displayed at all
  • The car also has Xenon headlights, and a brand new set of Bosch Aeroblades was fitted in January
