The Vendor has provided the following:

  • Lovely un restored example of a 2nd year of production first registered August 1949 series 1 Land Rover
  • Showing 90,000 miles
  • Tax and MOT exempt
  • 3 previous owners
  • Sold to previous owner in 1992 by Rupert Leng Land Rovers in the Scottish Borders
  • Last owner had owned the car for 30 years and it presents in very original condition having just been serviced and had some recommissioning mid last year which included replacement of the canvas tilt
  • Retro Works Land Rover specialist in the Scottish Borders looked after the car for around 10 years prior

  • The vehicle has spent most of its life with a Land Rover enthusiast in Northumberland and would be a perfect addition to someone's collection

Welcome to our July Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 22 July 2026 - Tuesday 28 July 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

We have a free coach service running between Pickering, our showrooms and Thornton-le-Dale to help you access the site and reduce congestion. Please see the coach timetable here.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
Please note that we cannot allow under 16s, pets or handbags in the showrooms for viewing.
