The vendor has provided the following:
- XJS built with XJ6 Series 1 running gear and interior trim
- The car was built in the late 70’s and finished in 1980 by a long-time Jaguar restorer and enthusiast
- The engine is a short block XK engine, enlarged to 3 litres, running 3.8 litre pistons and cylinder head along, with triple SU carbs mated to a 4-speed and overdrive gearbox
- It was used for around 10 years and was then stored until it passed to the owner's son in 2015, who is the current owner. It then completed a full restoration, including engine rebuild, rear suspension, all new brakes and a full bare metal re-paint (There was no corrosion - the old paint had micro blistered)
- New aluminium fuel tank, 123 map ignition, plus many new parts
- This is a unique vehicle with bespoke chrome bumpers and trim
- This vehicle will give the new owner a low-running-cost classic, with low fuel consumption and tax exemption
