I bought it as a project and have been taking things to pieces, putting them in boxes to clean up and restore or replace over 30 years, working on it when I had the time. It seemed like when I had the time, I didn’t have the money, and when I had the money, I didn’t have the time
Friends were keen to help and spent many weekends with me
On the whole, it’s spent much of its life in my garage being pushed in and out to clean and polish. When I do take it out to local classic car meets or just for a drive, I get people honking horns, thumbs up and waving
When it’s parked up, it gets lots of attention. People gather around chatting and reminiscing about their dad or uncle, who used to have one of these
To sum up, the car is a good, solid driving car, not built for concourse, but with very good straight lines, good door gaps and professional clean paintwork
Drives well with lots of torque and puts a smile on your face when changing through the gears. The brakes are new, not properly bedded in yet
The car has been a big part of my life. It saddens me to part with it after all these years, but it’s time for a new owner to use and appreciate
