We actively encourage and recommend that buyers view any potential vehicle or item which may be of interest before a sale. To allow this, we try our very best to accommodate all requested viewings. The Pickering branch is open 6 days a week, Monday - Saturday.
The main 'viewing period' for vehicles and items being auctioned is the two weeks leading up to each sale. This is because:
Viewing is lot-specific. You will not be able to browse the vehicles that are coming up for auction. Please have a look through the auction catalogue for any lots you may like to bid on.
Should you wish to view a vehicle or item outside of the viewing period, please book a visit with our admin team. You can do this by email or telephone and you will be required to bring a confirmation of the booking with you.
Due to the large number of vehicles on site and the small spaces between them, we cannot accommodate groups (2+), children (aged 16 and under), or pets. Please leave all bags in your vehicle.
If you would like to register for a telephone or commission bid while you are on-site, please remember to bring with you a form of ID (driving licence or passport + proof of address).
Post-auction weeks will witness a very strict approach to casual viewing due to the huge number of vehicle movements (leaving and arriving). Your safety is paramount and clearly, pedestrians, parked cars, and moving vehicles are not a good mix.
Our shop is open daily in Thornton le Dale. Here you can browse through the shop, see the original location of Bangers & Cash, recognise items and settings shown on the program, and quite often bump into one of the team. Derek tends to base himself here when not on the road.
Our Pickering site is not a museum and as such cannot accommodate groups (2+) or unarranged visits outside the main auction viewing period mentioned above.
