Buying a Classic Vehicle

Before bidding on any vehicle lots please ensure that you have carried out all the relevant checks (mileage included) that you would require as no warranties or guarantees are supplied.

All vehicles are ‘sold as seen’ and we do encourage you to come and inspect so that you are both satisfied and confident with any bids that you may place.

Once the hammer drops a contract is then created and you are obligated to proceed with the purchase.

To bid online, click My Account on the menu and create your account. Be sure to 'pre-register' for each auction when registration opens. If you would rather leave a commission bid, you can do this on the lot you are interested in. The auctioneer will bid up to this figure for you. Please contact the office for telephone bidding.

Note that online bidding incurs a 1% surcharge in addition to our standard rates of Buyers Commission (see FAQs below for the rates).

Online accounts now require ID to be verified before you can bid. Each customer has a 'trust level' which incurs a bid limit. This will be sent to you in an email when you pre-register. If you believe you need a higher bid limit, please call the office on 01751 474455.

Please note that commission bids left on our website must be submitted:

  • by 5pm on Thursday before the auction for lots going through on Friday
  • by 11.59pm on Thursday before the auction for lots going through on Saturday
