Make: AUSTIN Model: A40 Registration: JSV 617 Engine Size (cc): 950 Year of Manufacture: 1960 Date First Registered: 21/09/1984 Current V5: YES Location: PICKERING You can view from: Wednesday 4 March 2026 - Tuesday 10 March 2026
Current V5 present. Paperwork includes drivers handbook, purchase invoice from 1960, DVLA correspondence, previous V5s, workshop manual, and invoices.
The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be an Austin A40 Farina Mk1. Please confirm upon your own inspection.
The vendor has provided the following:
Mk1 Austin A40 Farina
This vehicle has been owned since new by the same family. It was the father's car and passed to the son
It underwent a restoration back in the 1990s, with all the receipts of all work carried out
The vehicle was taken off the road in 1995 and has been in dry storage all its life!
I have all original handbooks and manuals for the car and all the original parts which were removed, including the original airbox, even original gaskets
It is solid underneath but does have a hole in the ns rear lower quarter panel that needs repair, also the brake master cylinder needs new seals or replacing.
The clutch plate is stuck due to standing and will need to be freed or replaced. This will make a very easy project for someone, a week's work, and can be used as is, or maybe take it and do a full respray and chrome work redone
It will make a lovely, honest little car with not a lot of effort, and to be a 1 family owner vehicle is a rare thing
The clock has just over 6,000 miles on and I suspect this is genuine mileage too
Or you could turn this into a race car and run it in the historic race series, either way, own a piece of history and enjoy the tinkering time!!
