The vendor has provided the following:
- I purchased the car in 1984 with 36k miles as the 2nd owner (purchase receipt on file)
- After 3 months of fun and, shall I say, a mishap, it was taken off the road for repair
- After a few months, it was returned fully painted, new wings, door skins, etc., but it remained in the corner of the shed for just over 40 years
- Until last year, when the engine was reinstalled after having the head off, valves checked, and shimmed, etc
- The standard Lotus had rear drum brakes; this one has optional Chrysler 180 rear disc brakes, complete with a limited-slip differential
