Current V5 present. Paperwork includes a Service booklet containing 23 stamps and 10 written entries, old tax discs, previous motor insurance documents, MOT certificates, and invoices.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • First registered in May 1969, this is one of the earliest bay campervans imported into the UK and it’s still going strong
  • The original service booklet as well as lots of other paperwork is included
  • You won’t find a better example of a classic early Bay Campervan. An original and historic vehicle - yet it still drives well in modern traffic conditions
  • Garaged and well maintained by its present owner
  • The bodywork and underbody are in excellent condition making it an eye-catching vehicle that always attracts attention
  • A new Bosch starter motor was installed in 2024, along with new brakes and cylinders. The accelerator linkage assembly was renewed in 2025
  • She starts first time every time and is a smooth runner
  • The van has its original Dormobile interior conversion with gas cooker, fridge and proper melamine worktops as well as press-stud blackout curtains. They don’t make ‘em like this any more
  • For camping, there is a more recently installed leisure battery and 240V hookup connection
  • As well as the double bed, there are two built-in hammocks and the original dining table
  • The bellows of the elevating roof canopy have been replaced in green and white striped material
  • The vehicle was driven to the auction by the current owner.

Welcome to our July Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 22 July 2026 - Tuesday 28 July 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

We have a free coach service running between Pickering, our showrooms and Thornton-le-Dale to help you access the site and reduce congestion. Please see the coach timetable here.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
Please note that we cannot allow under 16s, pets or handbags in the showrooms for viewing.
