Current V5 present, Paperwork includes past V5, MOT certificates, invoices for parts and work done, email correspondence with Series 2 Club Ltd, written information about work done, tax reminders, magazine article about the vehicle.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • I bought it in 2005 (I think as an executor’s sale)
  • It had been stored under a tree for 15 years, I am the third owner, and knew it in Hemel Hempstead, when it was new
  • There is no documentation for it, except one MoT from before it was stored
  • I have extensive documentation for it under my ownership
  • MOT from early 1990s lends support for its present mileage - 70,000
  • Weber carb (which I suspect is not original)
  • Free-wheel front hubs
  • Tow bar. (I recall it being used to haul a small caravan to Norfolk for German Shepherd events, before my time)
  • It leaks oil, but they all do
  • Needs priming at fuel-pump if left standing for a while, otherwise starts first touch
  • Hasn’t had the head modified for unleaded. I use Frosts additive
  • I fitted new door tops, new petrol tank, new radiator and new (recon) starter motor
  • Distributor has been rebuilt
  • Rebuilt carburetor (which is probably not original)
