Lot details

Make: MASSEY FERGUSON

Engine Size (cc): 2502
Year of Manufacture: 1965
Date First Registered: 19/03/1965

You can view from: Saturday 15 August 2026 - Tuesday 18 August 2026

Current V5 present. Paperwork includes operator instruction book, buff logbook, DVLA correspondence, buying guide, and printed photos.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • Vendor states the Tractor has only done 408 hours.
  • “The Shiny Red Tractor” provenance includes the original “Buff” log book, the original Massey Ferguson Owner’s Manual, a current V5, and is currently registered and taxed with DVLA for use on the road
  • This fully restored Massey Ferguson 135 is one of the very first examples to be built in early 1965, and was first registered to Mr Albert Watkins, a farmer in Herefordshire, on 19th March 1965
  • The earliest examples of the 135 were finished with matching red-centred wheel rims, white sand-textured exhaust silencers, and cast aluminium headlamp cowls. This example features all three, but after a few months, the factory transitioned to all-silver wheels and exhaust pipes, and plastic headlamp cowls to lower the price. Needless to say, the earliest examples are rare and desirable! Also desirable is the Perkins 2.5-litre, three-cylinder, 45.5hp diesel-powered engine fitted to this model
  • The first owner passed away in 1975, and “The Shiny Red Tractor” went into a unique private vintage tractor collection owned by the McNally family, and included twenty-one fully restored Massey Ferguson tractors. The entire collection included over fifty vintage trucks, tractors, and classic cars, and was auctioned in a one-of-a-kind retirement sale on 13th September, 2025
