The vendor has provided the following:

  • This vehicle was bought as a short project by an elderly local resident while recuperating from a hip replacement operation, from the previous owner, who attempted to make a cafe racer of it
  • A new carburettor and S&W air filter were fitted by the previous owner
  • The vendor was informed by the previous owner that the bike has a 150cc conversion and would reach 65 mph, but this has not been verified
  • It will make a good learner bike or possibly a track bike for a bit of Straight line 1/4 mile fun at York raceway, Carnaby, or elsewhere

Work carried out:

  • The out-of-line front wheel was replaced
  • Handlebars adjusted to avoid hitting the fuel tank
  • A 'shorty' silencer bought to quieten exhaust noise and improve looks
  • Exhausted, relocated, and altered to avoid catching the centre stand
  • Rubber 'bungee' headlight brackets thrown away, and a metal one fitted to stop the headlight bobbing up and down
  • Instrument panel (not mentioned on MOT), cheap metal angle brackets probably from B & Q, binned, and instrument panel secured properly
  • The indicators are 'as was', but a new spare set is supplied by the vendor for the purchaser to fit
  • Front bake pipe secured
  • New mirrors fitted
  • The old front wheel is unusable, but comes with the bike as the tyre appears in good condition and could be reused
