The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be a Wolseley 4/44, please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • This is a historic vehicle and thus not subject to Vehicle Tax nor MOT testing
  • It was purchased second-hand in 1959 by my Grandfather who used the car sparingly until his death in 1969
  • The car was then passed to my Uncle who registered ownership in 1969
  • He owned it until his death in May 2025
  • Ownership then passed to me in December 2025
  • Thus, the car has been in the family for 66 years
  • The car has always been used sparingly and has always been kept in dry storage
  • It has done approximately 54,000 miles
  • The odometer is a replacement
  • The car body, including sub-frame and body floor, was extensively refurbished in 1984 at a cost of £1179 (1984 prices)
  • There is a problem with the gearbox or more likely, the clutch - probably due to not being used for about the last 10 years

Welcome to our February Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 28 January 2026 - Tuesday 3 February 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
 
Each auction throughout the year will witness a collection / donation.
