Current V5 present. Paperwork includes previous V5s, some printed history about the vehicle, a wiring diagram, a Fuse box layout, and an invoice.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • MK1 GT Cortina, Lotus-engined tribute
  • 1966 MK1 originally started life as a genuine GT in red (known to the owner's club)
  • Owned by me since 2003

Has been upgraded to a Lotus tribute from a genuine GT:

  • Lotus/GT Centre console/remote
  • Lotus umbrella handbrake
  • Lotus dashboard including correct gauges/oil pressure pipe not connected - needs adaptor at block/oil light connected and working through
  • The rev counter has a mind of its own
  • The fuel gauge is not always accurate
  • Late Lotus twincam 6 bolt engine from late Elan (low mileage 30,000 mile engine from new std bores)
  • GT Gearbox
  • New propshaft UJS

The car was restored over 15 years with the following having been replaced:

  • Inner/outer sills
  • Rear valence replaced
  • Rear arch repair panels
  • Jacking points replaced
  • Stainless bumpers all around
  • New Minilites
  • New headlining
  • New carpets
  • All windscreen rubbers replaced, including quarter light seals
  • Dash vent eyeballs re-chromed
  • New front brake callipers
  • New rear wheel cylinders
  • New rear brake shoes
  • All metal brake pipes replaced
  • All flexible brake hoses replaced
  • Dual circuit master cylinder/servo fitted from Ford KA (as TVR Cerbera)
  • New handbrake cable
  • New tyres (but not quite old)
  • New Ashley 2" extractor down pipe and sports exhaust throughout

Engine:

  • Bottom end engine rebuild in 2015-crank regrind on mains and big ends
  • Re-ringed pistons as still std with minimal bore wear
  • Cylinder head re-worked during lockdown to run unleaded, including new exhaust valves, all guides and seats. Head work carried out at J&E Engineering, Rawtenstall, at a cost of circa £1,250
  • Steel head gasket
  • New timing chain/tensioner/guide
  • New water pump
  • Upgraded to a new Alternator
  • Dial in Electric radiator cooling fan
  • New Accu-Spark plug leads, plugs, cap, rotor arm, coil, points, condenser
  • New battery just fitted
  • Upgrade to H4 Headlamps and relays
  • Alarm immobiliser fitted
  • The car has only covered 50 miles since the engine and head rebuilds
  • Repainted in Lotus colours 15+ years ago and all box sections waxoiled
