Current V5 present. Paperwork includes MOT certificates, various invoices, a British Motor Heritage Trust certificate, a Buff logbook, some printouts, Tracker information, and a Mini world magazine.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • Genuine and original family-owned car since new. My mother received the car as a birthday present in 1966, her birthday was on the 13th July, and the Heritage Certificate notes the car came off the factory floor on 4th July
  • The FRS portion of the number plate identifies this as an Aberdeen car, where we live. The car was bought from Aberdeen Motors on Union Street (although it was also known with a Union Row address, as this was a petrol pump to the rear)
  • My mother divorced her first husband, becoming a single mother to four young children in the '60s. The car was a symbol of her freedom at the time, and my four siblings went on
many trips to the beach, south to Stonehaven and the areas around Aberdeen
  • She remarried, and I came along. The car was later often used to drive me to school or on trips. I have a strong memory of scalding my legs on the vinyl seats when wearing shorts (there are small holes in the parcel shelf from the seatbelt they fitted for me, which we kept as a part of the history)
  • The car was given to my brother, but he never learned how to drive. He eventually gave it to me, and I had the car refurbished and have used it as a summer daily driver
  • In the winter, the car is kept in a garage within a Carcoon (the Carcoon, and any spares associated with the mini would be included and left in the boot). There is a great photo of two of my siblings with the car on a forest road, the other two in the distance behind. This would be in the late '60s- happy to share a copy, but I'd like to keep the original
  • I have the original registration document
  • SPECIFICATION:
  • Original hydro elastic suspension, 998cc twin SU carb
  • The points were swapped to electronic ignition for ease of use. I would still have the points
  • Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
