Current V5 present. Paperwork includes MOT certificates, old tax discs, TOAD security information, a previous V5, a Haynes Owner's Workshop Manual, and invoices.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • The car has paperwork from 1983 through to 2017
  • There is no vehicle paperwork from 2017 to 2021, when the car was purchased
  • Receipts post 2021 to 2025 are included in the paperwork
  • The car already had a BOA engine installed, including a rear limited-slip differential upon purchase
  • The car has been registered as Historic at DVLA
  • Footman James agreed a value for insurance purposes of £24,000 (May 2025)

Work that the current owner has had carried out includes, but is not limited to (Cost £+£15,000):

  • Full underbody restoration, including sills
  • Rear wheel arches replaced and resprayed panels
  • Fuel tank refurbished, including new fuel lines
  • New suspension and Brakes (Brake discs and brake lines)
  • Steering rack refurbished
  • Engine pressure tested and new Lambda sensors fitted
  • Recent electrical inspection and faults rectified
  • Original Stereo bought and installed with Bluetooth
  • Headliner replaced
  • Purchase of Cosworth Recaro front seats and interior seating re-upholstered in original XR4I trim
  • Purchase, refurbishment, and installation of 5(including spare) RS500 Cosworth allow wheels with centre cap key
  • New tyres
  • Cosworth steering wheel
  • Red insert gear knob (very rare) only fitted on cars from the start of August 1983
  • Original wiring loom still stored in the front engine bay, if any buyer was looking to put the original 2.9L engine in the car

Known issues at the point of auction:

  • The car has a very small oil leak at the gearbox connection to the engine (been advised engine will need to be taken out to replace the seal)
  • Battery drain if not used regularly (3-4 weeks)

Welcome to our October Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 1 October 2025 - Tuesday 7 October 2025. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
 
Each auction throughout the year will witness a collection / donation.
