The vendor advises:

1955 Austin A90 Westminster SEL 240.

Originally registered in August 1955 under the registration SEL 240, I have the original buff logbook. I bought the car at auction 7 years ago and have used it only sparingly since then. There is a very limited amount of history with the car showing three previous owners, with a spell off the road from 1975 to 1985 when it was re registered. This explains why it received a new registration number WSV 145 as no application was made to retain the original SEL 240. However, sometime in 1991 the then owner successfully applied to have the original SEL 240 reinstated. The V5C shows that this is non-transferable. The history indicates that significant work on the engine was carried out around 2002.

Feedback from a garage servicing the vehicle reports good compressioon on all 6 cylinders and the engine pulls strongly on hills and generally performs well. I have had the brake hoses and master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder and hose replaced. New battery, points, condenser and control box / regulator fitted.

The bodywork, chrome and paintwork are in tidy condition with no rust. There is some 'orange peel' effect on the rear passenger door and evidence of some repair work on the front wings around the headlights. The interior is original. The seats are in good condition, no rips or tears, but the carpeting is worn, as you would expect after 66 years.
