The vendor has kindly offered the following:

The car was originally built for the American market and was LHD, it was registered in Maryland. I have the documentation for the import.

It finished up in Europe but not sure when or for how long. My friend bought the vehicle from the importer in 2006 with the intention of rebuilding it himself in retirement, however before fully retiring his health took a turn for the worse and he was not able to even start the repairs. I started the restoration on his behalf and after sandblasting the chassis had the floorboard supports replaced and the chassis coated in 2K chassis black. The body required an outer and inner sill at the nearside, A and B pillars, and inner and outer sills to the o/s. A repair panel was fitted to the front canopy and all four wings were repaired and restored.

The engine has been re-bored, the crank reground, with the new timing chain, cam bearings, oil pump, and the head has been engineered for unleaded fuel. The gearbox has had a specialist repair and all new bearings and a completely new clutch including the master cylinder.

All the brakes and pipes have been renewed including calipers.

A new wiring loom and headlamps fitted with all other lamps re-furbished. A new fuel tank, pump, pipework, gauge, and sender.

A new RHD steering rack and the parts required to convert to RHD.

A completely new interior, hood and tonneau, two new side screens, and stowage bag.

The water pump, hoses and radiator renewed.

All external chrome work is new, a new windscreen and the chrome frame re-chromed.
