The Vendor has provided the following:

  • 1972 Saab 99 1985cc 2 door saloon
  • Subject to a bare metal restoration and respray in 2022 by SherwoodRestorations of Southwell Notts.
  • The car is an excellent runner and my daily driver with mileage at 110k.
  • Car has always been garaged whilst in my ownership since 2020
  • Interior has original carpets in good condition with no holes or tears
  • Seats are in original green cloth and vinyl with minimal wear and tear, Just one small perforation in the rear bench seat
  • The car has been improved mechanically with a stainless steel exhaust, new exhaust manifold a recent new battery and the use of Evans waterless coolant
  • I have also replaced the original radiator with a modern replacement allowing the car to do long distances without
    overheating issues
  • All glass is original with no major damage (though not perfect)
  • 5 Tyres were brand new in 2022 and less than 10K miles have been driven on them since the restoration in 2022
  • Restoration included back to bare metal fabrication adding new door skins where necessary and new arches all round.
  • The car has also been treated with waxoil underneath
  • This summer I have replaced the original alternator with a new purpose made modern replacement.
  • The car does still have room for improvement. The handbrake needs adjusting at the wheel cylinders
  • The original steering wheel comes with the car but I have fitted a later model wheel which I prefer
  • The door cards show wear and tear. The original centre consol ignition barrel is missing and has been replaced with a dash mounted ignition barrel
  • The engine bay has not been repainted
  • In summary a very solid car with all the corrosion taken care of and new metal welded in place by professionals to bring this car back up to near showroom condition
