Make: VAUXHALL Model: VIVA Registration: MRU 500F Engine Size (cc): 1975 Current Speedometer Reading: 78,000 Year of Manufacture: 1968 Date First Registered: 17/04/1968 Current V5: YES Location: PICKERING You can view from: Wednesday 1 October 2025 - Tuesday 7 October 2025
Current V5 present. Paperwork includes service book with 4 stamps and two handwritten entries, service inforamtion for Vauxhall Viva GT, and DVLA correspondence.
The vendor has provided the following:
1968 Vauxhall Viva GT 2.0 finished in the factory rare Elkhart yellow
78,000 recorded miles
2 previous owners up to 2025
I had to apply for the logbook, so now 3 previous
Genuine garage find, been dry stored and untouched since 1985 in the south of England ( Bournemouth )
This genuine Viva GT is an unrestored example and would make a fantastic restoration project, as on inspection is a very solid car and looks to have all its original panels and trim
Still has its painted-on body pin lines, and the body paintwork looks mostly original
The original service book was still located in the kick panel holder with some early life service history from Grand Parade in Bournemouth
I lubricated the cylinders' bores, turned the engine by hand, fed the engine with a separate fuel supply, and the engine ran with 50 psi oil pressure on idle
Interior has minor signs of age
I think it would probably be safe to say that this is one of the most original Viva GTs left
This deserves to be fully restored and live on for another 50-odd years
