Current partial v5 present - front page only. Paperwork includes an audio manual, a service book containing 3 stamps, various MOT certificates including the current MOT certificate, and various invoices for work carried out.

The vendor has added the following information:

Our MGTF might not seem classic just yet but we wanted to prove that you don’t need 100k in the bank to enjoy a mid-engined, rear wheel drive 2 seater, British convertible.

At a hammer price of just £2450 we thought we’d bagged a bargain….summer, tail-out fun for less than the price of a miley Ford Fiesta.

They have a reputation for rot, dodgy head gaskets and for generally being ‘not as good as an MX5’.

MazdaDudes in Darlington specialise in two things: MX5s and hating MGTFs so when we rolled up in YT05CUV there was nearly a mass walkout.

But once on the ramp, it was obvious to all we’d been incredibly lucky and bought a spectacularly good example.

YT05 was solid, with only a small spot of rustt caused by a badly-placed jack. The headgasket - a notable weakness on the Rover K series engine - had no signs of any impending doom.

Our changes were minor but essential if we wanted to make the best of this low-mileage example. Once the mechanics were sorted we then raided the used spares department for a full interior upgrade.

The list of works includes:

* Replace lower suspension arm (drop subframe)

* Remove and refit front bumper (was badly aligned)

* Drill out broken wheel nuts

* Inspect noise on engine and replace drive belt

* Swap out seats

* Replace door handles

* Cut sill out and weld sill to repair corrosion

* Fill and paint sill repair

* Strip front brakes and rear brakes

Our car now has 12 Months MOT without advisories.

Please note there is what is believed to be a pulley noise but the mechanics suggested this wasn’t a cause for immediate concern.
