1976 TALCO FF99 GO-KART

Sold for £400

Note that some lots may be sold provisionally

Lot details

Make: TALCO
Model: FF99 GO-KART
Engine Size (cc): 100
Year of Manufacture: 1976
Location: THORNTON DALE

Vacuum gauge, petrol can with 2 stroke oil mix, and 2 bottles of 2 stroke oil included in the sale. Included in the photographs are a few of the rebuild process.

The vendor has kindly offered the following: We have a historic 1976 racing go-kart which has an FF99 Engine built by Talco in 1976. ( details on the engine can be seen on the Talco website) It’s a 100cc 2 stroke direct drive, no gears. The engine has just been completely rebuilt last year, 2021 and it has had about 2 hours of use since its rebuild. Please note this is not a fun go-kart. It would suit someone wanting a historic racing go-kart or someone to use for track days. This engine is a racing 2 stroke and takes a 16-1 Petrol oil mix. The spark plug should be changed after 2 hours of use and the spark plug on this is due to be changed. This along with the petrol oil mix and carburetor maintenance is essential for the peak performance of this engine. I’m supplying a vacuum gauge. It is important before using this that you bleed the fuel system completely to remove any air bubbles from the fuel lines. The engine is started using a strap around the back wheel - with the back wheels elevated off the ground, or, two fit people who are prepared to give you a bump-start! Modern disc brakes fitted.

I recommend this go-kart is only purchased by someone who knows about racing go-karts.
