The vendor has provided the following:
Recent history:
The previous owner had a full engine rebuild done by Spool Motorsport (Edinburgh) in December 2021, at around 90,000 miles. Also fitting new discs & pads and Dunlop run-flat winter tyres all around. The car then sat garaged for a couple of years, due to the previous owner's severe injury. I have given it a full service; oil and filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs. Fitted a K&N washable air filter plus a new radiator and battery, and a new genuine mass air flow meter.
I have owned 3 other Impreza Wagons, and this is by far the best I have owned or driven. A Solid car, confidence-inspiring whatever the weather throws at it, and pins you in the seat performance, But with the practicality of an estate and all-wheel drive.
I love Subaru wagons, this one always puts a big smile on my face and lots of people have commented on how nice it looks and sounds.
However, as it is an import it runs best on super unleaded. Not a problem if you live anywhere else in the UK. However, as I live in a remote part of NW Scotland, I can only get 95 octane fuel locally, the nearest super unleaded is 65 miles away in Dingwall! I hadn't realised this when I bought the car, and have been adding a couple of shots of Millers Oils Petrol Power to each tank, which cleans and improves power and economy but is also an octane booster.
So, my reasons for selling are:
I don't want to run such a good car with the lower octane fuel,The octane booster is best as just a temporary solution. And as it is such a good car, I worry the harsh NW Scottish weather, salt spray, and salted roads will eventually start to rust it prematurely.
Thank you for looking.
