Current V5 present. Paperwork includes a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certified Copy of a Factory Record, a detailed folder showing restoration works, MOT certificates, a Sprite Catalogue, and various invoices.
The vendor has provided the following:
Originally built at Abingdon on 26 August 1960, the car was dispatched to Harry Ferguson Motors Ltd, Belfast on 29 August 1960. It had additional factory fitted equipment that included a Heater, Rev Counter, Windscreen wiper, Front bumpers, and a laminated windscreen.
It was then registered in Londonberry to Mr D L Harris, and unfortunately, no history of the car's stay in Ireland exists at this time. The next entry in the old green log book is in 1972 to a man in Preston. The car then moved around to 4 owners in Preston before being sold to a lady in Cardiff, and subsequently was exported to Italy. There are no records for its stay in Italy, but we believe it was dismantled there for a restoration and conversion to LHD, but this never occurred.
It reappeared in 2017 at a dealer's showroom in Malton, Yorkshire, and was subsequently advertised on eBay for £4995
Nut and bolt fully rebuilt Frogeye Sprite. Original UK Car and registration, heritage certificate and buff logbook present. Massive history file with fully photographed and documented restoration. £17,000 of receipts for parts alone, excluding any labour.
