GWR 200J was a really sound car bought by the Bangers & Cash team for the forthcoming restoration series. The car needed some work, but more a really good recommission rather than a restoration. That work has now been done to good standard and the car looks lovely - a very good roadster.

The MGB was the first sports car we took on. We took Derek’s advice that it was a solid project, and he estimated we should spend £2500 on a few bits, plus labour. He was just a few weekends out on that one, but was correct - it was a sound car.
All the parts were available and came through the very helpful people at the MGOC Workshop, along with some advice. The recommissioning was done by a very experienced mechanic father and his eager apprentice - his son.
The car was originally Glacier White and supplied to Kennings in Harrogate in August 1970 - with overdrive, factory fitted wire wheels and a heater.
The interior cabin looks and feels very original, though it now has new carpets and a new set of wire wheels & tyres.
All parts bills will be included, but a brief list of some of the work done & the major parts include:
Rear axle
Suspension
Steering rack
Carpets
New wires & tyres
Brakes
Bonnet respray
The car has a heritage certificate, is MOT’d for a year, drives nicely, looks special with its red hood, not original - but not new either - so feels right. Ready for the summer of motoring.
