Current V5 present. Paperwork includes two printed photographs of the vehicle, an MSA Competition Car Log Book, and a letter from MSA.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • Ford Escort MK1 Rally Car
  • I bought XUH 833K as a rolling shell in 2011 and gave the job to Autoprep in Worcester to strip the shell back replace both front wings and panel.
  • The car was then professionally resprasyed inside and out and then refitted using many new parts including all new brakes, (AP Monte Carlo calipers) Bilstein struts, fuel lines, race tank and the bespoke interior which was modelled on works cars of the period.
  • The car was completed 2016 and from then until 2020 I competed in Tarmac club events, a number of Lombard Rally demonstrations and other shows around the country.
  • The car was featured as a 4-page spread of Ford Magazine.
  • In 2019 we replaced the original pinto engine with a newly constructed 182 bhp rally specunit.
  • At the same time, to cope with the additional power we upgraded the rear axle, with a new baby Atlas.
  • The bill was in excess of £20k. The car now is a well sorted rally car which handles and stops beautifully and could be used again for rallies or road use.

  • For stage rallies, hill climbs, historic rally events or fast road.
  • The car was professionally restored between 2012-2017 including a full shell restoration including new front panel and wings.
  • Safety devices roll cage
  • Bespoke aero plug in modular wiring loom Engine: Fresh 2lt Pinto historic rally engine built by MJ Developments (only done 3 events).
  • Full spec available producing approximately 182bhp (note that the cylinder head and engine were built to be ready for 200bhp plus with 48 Webers and a bigger cam) Twin 45 Weber Carbs.
  • Fully adjustable Bilstein Suspension
  • Quaife four speed Gearbox (historic)
  • Baby Atlas Axle (only done three events)
  • Double cowl dash as per works period
  • AP Monte Carlo Brake Callipers all round

Welcome to our February Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 28 January 2026 - Tuesday 3 February 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
 
Each auction throughout the year will witness a collection / donation.
