Current partial V5 present - missing front page. Paperwork includes a previous trade slip, DVLA correspondence, printed photographs of the vehicle, a Classic Motor Show guide, and some tax confirmations.

The vendor has provided the model of the vehicle to be a Fordson BBE Truck. Please confirm upon your own inspection.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • The Holy Grail, 1 of 1. This is the very last early Fordson BBE drop-sides remaining!
  • A signed letter of authenticity from the club president of the Early Ford V8 Club, and DVLA stamped, is also present (and both the engine and the chassis retain both their original matching numbers), authenticating this as the original
  • First registered: 1st January 1937, With Registration: BVF 876. New to Watney Brewers, supplied by Ford Dagenham, London. Registration since restoration: UXS 372
  • Subject to an extensive total nut & bolt restoration some years back
  • This is hands down one of the best ‘Fordson Forward Control vehicles’ available
  • Historic vehicle classification
  • Exemption from Tax & MOT
  • The engine is the original Fordson flathead V8 petrol 8-cylinder sidevalve 3622cc engine with the desirable 4-speed gearbox (which was a £12 optional extra), and is rear wheel drive
  • Fully rebuilt and recently fully serviced
  • It’s been greased up recently, and the gearbox & diff oils have also been replaced too
  • BHPerformance also reconditioned & tuned the carburettor at the beginning of last year
  • Although the accelerator pedal is for driving, there is also a separate Throttle Control switch for the ‘cruise control’ of the era
  • Sitting on 7.00 20c Firestone tyres all round (are showing signs of cracking), 6v electrics
  • There is a very handy, solid oak storage box fixed next to the bulkhead

Welcome to our February Auction!

The viewing period for this auction is Wednesday 28 January 2026 - Tuesday 3 February 2026. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to view specific lots pre-auction and inspect paperwork if available.

The entrance fee is £5 per person during the viewing periods at our Pickering branch. 
This forms part of our annual fundraising to help local and national charities chosen by us.
 
Each auction throughout the year will witness a collection / donation.
 
PLEASE NOTE: Please be aware that all lots are sold as seen and without any warranty implied or given. You must satisfy yourself as to a lot's description and condition before you decide to bid. We recommend that you inspect the lot in person during the general viewing days held prior to the auction or call us to arrange for an individual appointment.
